How it works
Set up in minutes. Useful from the first morning.
Three steps, no spreadsheets and no passwords shared with Zyven. Here is exactly what happens when you connect, and what you can expect afterwards.
The three steps
From sign-up to your first brief.
- Step 1
Connect your sales and your bank
Sign in through Square's own screen and link your business accounts through your bank's secure connection (Plaid). Zyven asks for read-only access. It never needs your bank or Square password.
- Step 2
Zyven does the bookkeeping math
Sales, fees, refunds, payouts and everyday expenses are matched up automatically. Recurring bills like rent, payroll and loan payments are spotted from your history, and your recent months are filled in so you have real numbers right away.
- Step 3
Start each day from the brief
Every morning you get one clear read: yesterday's true profit, how many days of cash you have, and any Money Move waiting for your decision. Sign in whenever you want to dig deeper or ask a question.
How provider access works
You connect through Square and your bank, not through us.
Zyven only ever holds read-only connection keys, and you stay in control of them.
Square
You are sent to Square's own sign-in page and approve Zyven there. Zyven receives read-only permission to see sales, refunds, fees and payouts. It cannot create payments or refunds, and it never sees your Square password.
Your bank (via Plaid)
Bank accounts are linked through Plaid Link, the same connection used by many finance apps. You enter credentials with Plaid, not Zyven. Zyven receives read access to balances and transactions only.
Two-step verification first
Before either connection can be made you must turn on authenticator-app two-step verification in Settings. This protects the accounts you connect if your password is ever guessed or leaked.
Disconnect whenever you like
From Integrations you can disconnect Square or any bank. Zyven asks the provider to revoke its access and stops reading that account. Bank data from a disconnected account is deleted after 90 days.
Questions
Straight answers.
Who is Zyven for?
Owner-run businesses that take payments through Square — cafés, salons, shops, studios, service businesses — and want to know where their cash is going without becoming their own bookkeeper.
Does Zyven replace my bookkeeper or accountant?
No. Zyven is a day-to-day cash and profit view for the owner. Your bookkeeper still closes the books and files taxes. Zyven helps you see what is happening between those visits.
Will Zyven move money or change anything in my accounts?
No. Zyven reads your data and writes recommendations. Every Money Move is something you approve and then carry out yourself in your own bank. Nothing happens automatically.
What does “true profit” include?
Sales, minus Square fees, refunds, cost of goods and the operating expenses seen in your bank accounts. Transfers between your own accounts and Square deposits are excluded so nothing is counted twice.
Does Zyven use AI?
Yes, in a bounded way. Ask Zyven and Money Move wording may be drafted with a language model, using derived figures such as totals and recurring payee names — never your provider tokens, passwords or raw bank credentials. Every figure is still computed from your data, not by the model.
How long does setup take?
Connecting Square and a bank takes a few minutes. Your first daily brief and cash forecast appear once your accounts have finished connecting, usually the same day.
What if I only use Square, or only want to connect my bank?
Square alone gives you daily profit. Adding a bank unlocks cash runway, upcoming bills and Money Moves. You can connect either first and add the other later.
Is Zyven available today?
Zyven is onboarding early businesses in small groups. Creating an account provisions your Zyven account immediately and places you in the founding cohort; provider connections run in test mode until Kryonix Labs confirms your live connections in writing. Nothing is charged to request access.
How is my information protected?
You connect through Square's and your bank's own login screens, access is read-only, connection keys are encrypted before storage, and you can disconnect at any time from your Integrations page. The Security page describes each control.
